2017 San Francisco Hickory Open
Lincoln Park GC

Congrats to our 2017 Champion Tim Bell with a stellar 69.

November, 2017
The forecast for heavy rain loomed over the event all week, but mother nature bestowed us with another wonderful day out on the point when the day finally arrived. The quaint and locally inspired tradition is always a memorable close to our season and this year was no exception. Next year we'll plan to move our family get together back to mid October. Only a mere 11 months away! :)

Nothing like a little masking tape to accentuate the pretentious award ceremony! Who's dog is that anyway? Sadly, the little bar across the street is closing and will be missed.

Doing their best to act natural.

Our champion in a "grave" situation off the first hole.

Is there any doubt as to what magnificent city this is?

Bob Marley watches over the group and approves.

Kristian, the "new stick", shows how to work a loaner club! Nice form! :o

Green pacers!

Half of the entire field managed to squeeze into the picture!

The other half.

These bums managed to win the best-ball-team-over-and-under-count-it-backwards-beers-from-the-opposing-players-bet by a single stroke. A strong rally from behind capped by 3 pars on the last hole from the group sealed the deal. Congrats! :)

Our final planned event of the season, the San Francisco event is an informal made-on-the-fly fun day of golf. We typically go out for a drink/bite to eat post round as well as scrap together a skins game.

Always a blast and looking forward to another fun day at the Park!

An early Lincoln Park GC postcard.

Nothing represents San Francisco and Northern California better than the unmistakable landmark that is the Golden Gate Bridge. Add a 100+ year old golf hole to the mix and you have NorCal Hickory Golf at its finest.

Lincoln Park is a wonderful hickory course that hasn't changed much in the past century. It certainly has a rich tradition of hosting the long standing San Francisco City Championship amateur tournament, “The City” .

Overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding the historic art museum at the Palace of the Legion of Honor, the course is under 5000 yards from the white tees. With four par 4's under 300 yards and three par 3's over 200, the back nine at Lincoln is unusual in design.

Lincoln Park's rolling terrain, shot making, and short length, makes for an exciting skins game.

* Men  White tees - 4948 yards 64.6/106
* Ladies  Red tees - 4732 yards 67.0/106
(will receive 2 extra strokes)

* Loaner clubs available as always
